Known for
Laugavegur runs from Hlemmur food hall down to Lækjargata, forming the backbone of downtown Reykjavík. Independent Icelandic fashion, bookshops, wool shops, bakeries, tattoo parlours, and most of the city’s bars line the street. Skólavörðustígur branches off uphill toward Hallgrímskirkja.
